Artist Peter Williams is entirely self taught, working out of his studio on the Suffolk coast where he lives with his long term partner Jenny and large German shepherd dog. After a very varied working life ranging from soldier to college tutor, since 2002 he has been a full time professional artist.He uses many different media including pastel, coloured or graphite pencil, gouache but is particularly well known for watercolour work.Blending diffused colour with confident composition and intricate detail, he is able to achieve a unique vibrancy unequalled by many other watercolourists.
